How much will my move cost?
Local moves are typically billed hourly based on crew size and truck time, while long-distance moves are priced by weight and distance. We give flat-rate quotes once we know what's moving, so the number you agree to is the number you pay. Call our office or use the quote form and we'll walk through specifics for your home.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We operate as a licensed household goods carrier with authority on file for both intrastate and interstate moves, and we carry full insurance coverage on every job. We can provide documentation on request before your move date.
What areas do you actually service?
We're based in Longmont and cover Boulder County towns including Boulder, Erie, Firestone, Berthoud, and Niwot on a regular basis. If you're just outside that radius, call our office — we take on additional Front Range jobs regularly.
How does a long-distance move work?
One of our crews loads your belongings in Longmont and the same truck delivers them at your destination — nothing gets transferred between carriers. We'll give you a delivery window up front and stay in touch if weather or road conditions shift the timeline.
Do you offer packing services, or do I pack myself?
Both are options. Our full-service packing crew can box, wrap, and label an entire household in a day or two before your move, or you can pack yourself and we'll handle loading and transport. Most customers do a mix — packing fragile and specialty items themselves, letting us handle the rest.
Can you move a piano or a gun safe?
Yes, both are regular jobs for us. Pianos and safes need different rigging, dollies, and manpower than standard furniture, and our crews carry the right equipment for each. Let us know the exact type and weight when you book so we send the right crew size.
Do you offer storage if my move-in date changes?
We offer short-term storage for exactly that situation — when your move-out date lands before your move-in date is ready. Ask about availability and pricing when you book, since space is limited and fills up fastest during summer.
How far in advance should I book?
For local moves, one to two weeks' notice usually gets you your preferred date, though we can sometimes accommodate less. Long-distance moves and anything during peak summer season should be booked three to four weeks out if possible.
What happens on moving day?
Your crew arrives within the scheduled window, walks the home with you to confirm what's moving, then wraps, loads, and secures everything in the truck. For local jobs we typically deliver the same day; long-distance jobs follow the window discussed at booking.
What's included in the quote — do you nickel-and-dime for supplies?
Our quotes include the crew, truck, and standard equipment like dollies, blankets, and straps. Packing materials are itemized separately if you want us to supply boxes and paper, so there's no guessing after the fact.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Let our office know as soon as you know your date is changing. We ask for a few days' notice when possible so we can release the crew slot to another customer, but we understand plans shift and we'll work with you on rebooking.
Does winter weather affect scheduling?
It can, especially on long-distance routes crossing mountain passes toward Salt Lake City or Las Vegas. We build extra time into winter quotes for routes with pass crossings and will call ahead if a storm is likely to push a delivery date.
Do you move businesses, or just households?
Our core work is residential, but we do handle some office and small-business relocations within Longmont and the surrounding towns. Ask our office about your specific commercial move and we'll let you know if it's a fit.
Do I need to be present for the entire move?
We ask that someone be on-site at the start to walk the crew through the home and at delivery to confirm placement and check items off. Beyond that, you don't need to stand over the crew all day — that's what they're there for.
